The Year of the Snake

For Robert, there are no limitations, only new ways to reimagine the natural world. His fascination with form and texture finds expression in his stylised interpretation of the sinuous serpent, reimagined in precious metals and transformed into sculptural art that bears his unmistakable signature.

From the Garden

From the Reef

For Robert, the ocean is an endless source of inspiration - a living tapestry of form, texture, and light. His creatures from The Reef emerge from this fascination, translating the intricate architecture of coral and the rhythm of the sea into sculptural works of art. Each design captures the vitality of the underwater world and shaped by hand with Robert’s signature sensitivity to form.

"Gung"

In 2008, Robert was commissioned to design and create a bespoke piece of jewellery for the Taronga Foundation. Crafted in 18ct white gold, and pavé diamond-set with fine-quality round brilliant-cut diamonds, the pendant/brooch depicts Taronga Zoo’s resident Asian Bull elephant, “Gung”. It was donated to their foundation for silent auction. Today you can find the twenty-four year old Asian Bull elephant at Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, where he permanently resides.
