OUR STORY

BORN IN SWITZERLAND

Robert Clerc received his classical jewellery training at Patek Philippe in Geneva. Upon completing his apprenticeship and keen to spread his artistic wings, Robert embarked on a seven year expedition around the world, immersing himself in cultures rich in history, landscape, music and colours - discovering the importance of storytelling and honouring the beauty of nature through his craft.

SINCE 1975

When in 1975 Australia welcomed the young, charming and talented jeweller sporting his now trademark odd coloured shoes, Robert quickly set about developing his first collection - one inspired by his long-held fascination with ancient Egypt and particularly the iconography of the scarab ; a motif that has evolved through decades of Robert Clerc Jewellery designs and remains one of the most desirable and collectable elements of this high jewellery house. Redefining jewellery as sculptural pieces of art, Robert had found his style and would continue unapologetically to change the way people perceived and wore jewellery, both in Australia and around the globe.

DISTINCTIVE
AND TACTILE CREATIONS

Long celebrated for his beautiful, distinctive and tactile creations - each a product of masterful craftsmanship and an uncompromising artistic vision - Robert Clerc continues to produce exceptional collections and bespoke pieces of integrity and importance. Every piece tells a story, invites conversation and allows the wearer to quietly or boldly tell their own.
